In a bid to attract high-spending clientele, Ocean Casino in Atlantic City has launched a non-stop scheduled helicopter service from New York City. The casino has partnered with aviation service Blade to offer luxurious roundtrip chopper flights from West 30th Street in Manhattan directly to the casino’s rooftop helipad.
Currently, there is one round trip flight per weekend, accommodating six passengers per flight. The service, which began on Memorial Day weekend, will continue through Labor Day weekend. At $695 each way, the helicopter service is undeniably pricey. However, Ocean Casino executives are confident it will appeal to a niche market of affluent individuals seeking a convenient and exclusive travel option.
Ocean’s leadership believes this new offering differentiates them from future competitors, especially with a new casino slated to open in New York City. They are optimistic that the helicopter service will set a new standard for luxury travel to Atlantic City, making it a more attractive destination for high-rollers.
Sara Lee Kessler reports that the initial response has been promising, with potential for additional round-trip flights in the future based on demand. The helicopter service aims to provide a seamless and opulent experience, allowing passengers to bypass the usual traffic and travel hassles associated with traditional routes to Atlantic City.
Ocean Casino’s management sees this initiative as part of their broader strategy to elevate the casino’s profile and appeal. By offering such a unique and premium service, they hope to draw in a clientele that values time, convenience, and luxury.
As the service runs through the summer, it will be closely monitored to gauge its success and potential expansion. The casino remains open to increasing the frequency of flights if the demand proves substantial, further enhancing the convenience for their high-end patrons.
