In a nearly hour-long speech on the U.S. House floor, Representative Nancy Mace of South Carolina accuses her former fiancé, Patrick Bryant, and three of his business associates of committing severe sexual crimes against her and multiple other women, including minors. Mace alleges that Bryant and his associates engaged in drugging, raping, and filming women without their consent.
Mace describes discovering over 10,000 explicit videos and photos on Bryant’s phone in November 2023, which included images of unwitting women and a hidden camera video of herself naked. She claims that these materials depict non-consensual acts, including rape and voyeurism. Mace also criticizes South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson for not taking action despite being provided with evidence. She states that the justice system has failed to protect the victims and emphasizes the need for accountability.
Bryant denies the allegations, stating, “I categorically deny these allegations. I take this matter seriously and will cooperate fully with any necessary legal processes to clear my name.” His associates also refute the claims, labeling them as politically motivated and baseless.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division confirms that it began investigating Bryant in December regarding allegations of assault, harassment, and voyeurism. Mace has set up a tip line for more information on the allegations and has introduced legislation aimed at combating sex offenders and protecting women from abuse.
