The Coca-Cola Company is expanding its beverage portfolio with the launch of Simply Pop, a new line of prebiotic sodas under its Simply brand. This move aligns with the growing consumer interest in gut health and functional beverages.
Simply Pop will be available in five flavors: Pineapple Mango, Fruit Punch, Lime, Citrus Punch, and Strawberry. Each 12-ounce can contains 6 grams of prebiotic fiber to support digestive health, along with vitamin C and zinc to bolster the immune system. The beverages are crafted with 25% to 30% real fruit juice and contain no added sugars, appealing to health-conscious consumers.
Becca Kerr, Chief Executive Officer of Nutrition at The Coca-Cola Company, stated, “We found that consumers, especially wellness-focused Gen Z-ers and millennials, were really interested in juice and prebiotic sodas. And since many brands in this category are new, they were looking to align with names they know and trust for both quality and taste.”
The prebiotic soda market has seen significant growth, with the U.S. market for these beverages projected to exceed $2 billion by 2029. Coca-Cola aims to capture a share of this expanding market by leveraging the established Simply brand, known for its range of juices and beverages since 2001.
Simply Pop is set to debut at the end of February 2025, initially available in select regions across the West and Southeast United States, as well as online through Amazon Fresh. Each can is priced at $2.49.
