New York City golfers will tee off at a rebranded course starting this year, as the iconic Trump Links Ferry Point in the Bronx officially changes its name to Bally’s Golf Links. After nearly a decade under the Trump Organization’s management, the 18-hole links-style course located on 180 acres overlooking the East River has undergone a significant makeover.
The journey to Bally’s Golf Links began in 2015 when the Trump Organization secured a 20-year lease on the Ferry Point property from the city. However, in September 2023, the company sold the remaining 17 years of its lease to Bally’s Corporation, paving the way for the rebranding. With the new lease comes a fresh look for the course, including the removal of the prominent Trump signage that once greeted motorists crossing the East River.
Bally’s Corporation has expressed commitment to maintaining the high standards established by the previous management. In a statement, the company acknowledged the course’s “pristine condition” and pledged to continue providing golfers with a world-class experience.
“We are incredibly excited to take over the reins of this iconic golf course,” said Bally’s CEO Steve Hoagland. “Bally’s Golf Links at Ferry Point offers unparalleled views, challenging play, and an exceptional clubhouse experience. We look forward to building upon the course’s legacy and welcoming golfers from all walks of life to enjoy this unique playing experience.”
The shift from Trump Links to Bally’s Golf Links marks more than just a cosmetic change. It signifies a new chapter for the Ferry Point course, one unburdened by the political and social controversies associated with the former branding. With Bally’s at the helm, the course can focus on what it does best: providing golfers with a memorable and enjoyable experience in a stunning setting.
