In WEST PALM BEACH, FL., on April 5, 2024, a grim discovery at a West Palm Beach recycling plant has shaken the community. Workers sorting through a pile of garbage on Tuesday, April 3rd, found the remains of a human infant.
Police were immediately called to the scene at the Solid Waste Authority’s plant. “It’s a horrific situation,” said West Palm Beach Police Spokesman Mike Jachles. “Our top priority is identifying the remains and piecing together what happened.”
Investigators are combing through surveillance footage from the plant in hopes of identifying the garbage truck that delivered the tragic load. The truck’s origin could provide crucial leads in tracing the source of the remains. Additionally, DNA analysis will be conducted to determine the identity of the infant.
“This is a painstaking investigation,” Jachles acknowledged. “We’re sifting through mountains of information, and every scrap of evidence is vital.”
The West Palm Beach Police Department has not yet released the 911 call regarding the discovery, citing the ongoing investigation.
The news of the abandoned infant has sent shockwaves through the West Palm Beach community. Local officials are urging anyone with information to come forward. “Someone knows something,” said Jachles. “We need the public’s help to bring those responsible to justice and give this child a proper send-off.”
