According to a report by The New York Times, the band will continue to perform only at two locations: one in Northridge, Los Angeles, California, and another in Nanuet, New York.
This move is part of what Chuck E. Cheese’s chief executive describes as the company’s “most aggressive transformation” to date. The decision marks the end of an era for the animatronic band, which has been a staple of Chuck E. Cheese locations since the 1980s, entertaining children and families with their robotic performances.
The transformation plan involves replacing the animatronic band with modern entertainment options. Locations that no longer feature the band will introduce more screens, digital dance floors, and trampoline gyms, aiming to create a more contemporary and engaging experience for today’s tech-savvy youth.
